« Sylvaner de Westhoffen »
This turns standards on their head – it’s a sparkling pearl of a wine, with a strong constitution.
« Vérité »
This wine is discreetly calm, yet highly original. Notes of black tea are delicately combined with hazelnut. A dry wine to accompany agronomic meals, particularly smoked fish and meat dishes in sauce.
« Racine de Sylvaner, le préféré de Mathilde »
This wine is splendidly full in the mouth. Notes of overripe citrus fruits and balsamic flavours are released by their clash. The epitome of a perfect balance between body and freshness. Amazing!!!
Grapes that are often mixed with Pinot Blanc grapes, and make the most of clay-rich red marl soil.
The grapes are picked when they are fully ripe. This wine expresses both the generosity of the wine and the strict selection of low yields. Slow fermentation allows the best possible expression of the grapes’ dry extract. In the mouth, this incomparably smooth wine is reminiscent of hazelnut and roasting.
An assembly of Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Pinot Gris made and aged in the barrel. A rich, powerful wine with hints of brioche and blanched almonds. An honest dry wine,
Muscat « Les marnes vertes »
Grown on green marl – hence the name – and planted in terraces. An airy nose of verbena and mint – a fresh, gentle breath. The bouquet is distinguished and delicately springlike.
The vines for this wine grow on westfacing stony Upper Muschelkalk soil. Although its bouquet hints at lemon peel and sweet cooked lime, this wine has a more flinty side to it, reflecting the soil to perfection!
« Clos des Frères »
This south-facing vineyard on dolomitic sandstone has all the micro-climate features required for a truly great Riesling, producing a wine that is lively, fresh, with citrus notes. The Romans were the first to produce exceptional wine here, followed by the Bruderbach hermits. There was a charter for production as early as 1260. The wine’s subtle, ripe nose opens up to mineral touches of sandstone and the Tropics. A rich wine with scents of eucalyptus, peppermint and bitter orange. The fruit bursts in the mouth in a harmony that verges on the divine, produced by the balance of matter and acidity. Sera parfait sur du crabe, des langoustines ou du homard.
The steep south-facing terraces in Scharrach produce rich, solid, virile Rieslings.
Formerly the property of Marmoutier Abbey, this south-facing slope is on a sub-Vosgian fault of oolythic limestone and Muschelkalk. The wine is reminiscent of the wonderful freshness of the grape. Well-structured and lively, with unequalled organoleptic persistence.
This wine comes from stony soil of Muschelkalk underlying red marl, with a southern exposition. The vines are more than 25 years old, sending their roots down into the mother rock to extract the purest nectar typical of the soil. An elegant mineral nose opening into notes of elderflower and liquorice. This is a rich but fine wine, with aromas of eucalyptus and camomile. White flower and vineyard peach flavours combine in the mouth to give the acidity of a reborn wine.

This plot, in the shade of a service tree (‘cormier’ in French), is in the shape of an amphitheatre of red marl on a sub-soil of Oligocene limestone. This is a very rich, powerful and heady wine, dominated by notes of pear and midsummer apple, with a supple, rich body.

Gewurztraminer Grand cru Altenberg de Bergbieten :Formidable extraordinaire !
Gewurztraminer de Westhoffen
The vines are between 10 and 40 years old, and grow on the red marl to the south of the village. Gewurztraminer revels in the sun and comes into its own once it has been bottled – it appreciates resting in the cellar before it reaches the glass.
This Gewurztraminer grows on the black gypsum marl of the “Cormier” vineyard, which has an exceptional micro-climate. The wine exudes scents of pepper, cloves and bayleaf. Its mature, melting acidity is balanced with the residual sugar, resulting in sheer pleasure.
